By subscribing to our newsletter, you authorise us to use your personal data according to Art 6, par. 1, lit a (Consent) of the DSGVO/GDPR. We may thus see if and when an email was opened by a data subject and which links were called up. Based on the embedded tracking pixels MailChimp generates automatized, general and non-personal statistics regarding the response to newsletter campaigns. Yet, in accordance with Art.6, para.1, lit f of the DSVGO/GDPR and our legitimate interest to receive statistics which allow us to improve our marketing communication and to adjust to the recipient’s interests, Web-Beacons allow us to collect and analyse certain data concerning the newsletter recipient (such as email-address, time, IP-address, browser-type and operating-system). This allows for a statistical analysis of the individual recipient, showing whether he opened the email. In case you want to deactivate the data analysis for statistical evaluation you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.

MailChimp can also use these data according to Art.6, para.1, lit f of the DSGVO/GDPR to fulfil its own legitimate interest in an appropriate shaping and optimisation of its services and its marketing goals in order to pin-point which countries the recipients originate from. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to contact them itself nor does it pass this data on to third parties.
