6. USE OF YOUR DATA FOR DIRECT MARKETING

6.1 Newsletter subscription

If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your email address. The provision of further data, if any, is voluntary and will be used to address you personally. By subscribing to the newsletter, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. When subscribing to the newsletter, we store your IP address entered by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration, in order to be able to trace any possible misuse of your email address at a later date. The data collected by us when subscribing to the newsletter is used exclusively for the purpose of advertising communication via the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by sending us a message. After successful unsubscription, your email address will be immediately deleted from our newsletter distribution list.

6.2 Sending email newsletters to existing customers

If you have provided us with your email address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers for similar goods or services from our range via email. For this, we do not need to obtain separate consent from you. Data processing in this respect is based solely on our legitimate interest in personalized direct marketing in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in conjunction with §107 TKG. If you initially objected to the use of your email address for this purpose, we will not send you any emails. You are entitled to object to the use of your email address for the aforementioned advertising purpose at any time with effect for the future by notifying us. Upon receipt of your objection, the use of your email address for advertising purposes will be stopped immediately.

6.3 Newsletter dispatch via MailChimp

Our email newsletters are sent via the technical service provider The Rocket Science Group, LLC d/b/a MailChimp, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA (http://www.mailchimp.com/), to whom we transmit the data you provided when subscribing to the newsletter. This transmission takes place in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and serves our legitimate interest in using an effective, secure, and user-friendly newsletter system. Please note that your data is usually transferred to a MailChimp server in the USA and stored there.
MailChimp uses this information to send and statistically evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. For evaluation purposes, the sent emails contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are single-pixel image files stored on our website. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked. With the help of web beacons, Mailchimp automatically generates general, non-personal statistics about the response behavior to newsletter campaigns. Based on our legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation of newsletter campaigns to optimize advertising communication and better align with recipient interests, web beacons also collect and process data of the respective newsletter recipient (email address, time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system) in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. This data allows for individual conclusions about the newsletter recipient and is processed by Mailchimp to automatically create statistics that show whether a specific recipient has opened a newsletter message.
If you wish to deactivate data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.
MailChimp may also use this data itself in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on its own legitimate interest in the needs-based design and optimization of the service as well as for market research purposes, for example, to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them themselves or to pass them on to third parties.
To protect your data in the USA, we have concluded a data processing agreement with MailChimp based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission to enable the transfer of your personal data to MailChimp. This data processing agreement can be viewed at the following internet address if you are interested: https://mailchimp.com/legal/forms/data-processing-agreement
MailChimp is also certified under the US-European data protection agreement “Privacy Shield” and thus commits to complying with EU data protection regulations.
You can view MailChimp’s privacy policy here: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/

For this purpose, your payment data may be passed on to credit agencies in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on PayPal’s legitimate interest in determining your solvency. PayPal uses the result of the credit check regarding the statistical probability of payment default for the purpose of deciding on the provision of the respective payment method. The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). 9. ONLINE MARKETING

9.1 Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a web advertising service of Google LLC., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google AdSense uses so-called “DoubleClick DART Cookies” (“Cookies”). These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. In addition, Google AdSense also uses so-called “web beacons” (small invisible graphics) to collect information, through which simple actions such as visitor traffic on the website can be recorded, collected, and evaluated. The information generated by the cookie and/or web beacon (including your IP address) about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google uses the information thus obtained to evaluate your usage behavior with regard to the AdSense ads. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google AdSense will not be merged with other Google data. The information collected by Google may be transferred to third parties if this is legally required and/or insofar as third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

In relation to the data of the advertising campaigns, we can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are. We pursue the interest of showing you advertising that is of interest to you, making our website more interesting for you, and achieving a fair calculation of advertising costs.

However, they do not receive any information that personally identifies users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can block this use by deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via your internet browser under user settings.
